The editor of the Record remembers Mrs. Conry, daring his residence in that place, as a faithful Sabbath-School worker and an estimable Christian lady.

Her husband has lost a devoted wife, her children a loving mother, the church a confident member, and society a useful lady. We extend profound sympathy to the family. A valued friend, whose judgment we highly respect, has taken us to task for luiug the expressions East" and "West" Marion Centre, as he thinks it tends to create a rivalry' and consequent enniit)- between the sections thu described, where there should be unity and harmony. We merely dropped into the expression as easj terms of descriptions, but rather think that our friend's point is well tken and that the term.s had better not be used, perhaps. Pcobody Speaks.

With their store room greatly enlarged, and with an immense stock of goods, they reasonably hope to do a busiuess second to no hotis of the kiud in the county. Their goods have been bought for i-ash, and can and will consequently be sold cheaper than ever before offered in this community. Go and examine their stock and prices and be convinced. John Covert went to Marion Centre the other day and called at the Record of fice, and the editor thusly: 'Iloch. It is said that after Iloch hit him his right lead pickr and ptneil shover, the bovs in the office had to get a broom and sweep Jack up.
