Geo. blaster at the Salina Vitrified Brick Plant, was struck by a runaway tram car this afternoon "at 1:30 and was badly injured.

A line of tram cars run from tne clay pit to the mill, a distance of 50 feet, and the track has a sharp incline. As one of the cars, heavily laden with its load of clay, reached the dump, the cable broke, and the car made rapid descent down the track and into the pit. Just as the car reached the pit, Geo. Cornelius started to cross the track and was struck by the car, knocking him doywn and badly bruising him about the head and shoulders. Dr.

Harvey was summoned and brought the injured man to his home. He stated this afternoon that his patient was in a semi conscious condition and he was un able to ascertain just how serious his in juries were. Cornelius is deaf and failed to hear the car descending the track. which accounts for a seemingly careless f- accident. K.
