The Hutchinson News in speaking of the Grace Hezlep Comedy Company which held forth in that city last night says: The largest crowd that has been at the opera house this season assembled last evening to hear the Grace Hezlep Comedy Company act the popular New York favorite, "Little Lord Fauntleroy." To say that every one was delighted, only faintly expresses the situation. While the company 15 not so strong numerically as some, it makes ful! amends in ability and thoroughness. There is not a better popular price company, on the road, and the people Hutchinson have to congratulate themselves on having an opportunity hearing it.

Mr. Charles King is especially adapted to playing the part of an old man. He is natural, preposessing, and at once puts his audience at ease. The strong points last night were generously applauded by an appreciative audience. Money Lost.

E. Pyle goes to Mitchell Friday evening to institute an Odd Fellows lodge. Harry Hill, the famous Indian scout, was in the city to-day. He is on his way to the scene of the Indian troubles. The electric lights for some reason failed to shine last night.

To make up for lost time they were burning during the middle of the day to-day. A. S. Eastlick, president of the County Sunday School Association, is receiving calls from all over the county and there is scarcely a Sunday but he visits some school There will be a special meeting of McPherson Ruling F. M.

At the earnest solicitation of several of his former patients Dr. Geo. I B. McClellan, "Dr. Diamond Dick," has decided to revisit McPherson on Wednesday next, 26th and will be located at the Union Hotel as before.

The following high school students rank first in the branches named: Geometry, Nellie Welch; algebra, Homer Ebright; physical geography, Herman Zuzak: Latin grammar, Alfrida Leksell; Cesar, Mamie Curry; Virgil, Luln Wickersham: Grecian history, Roberta Simpson; English bistory, Grace Hulse; composition, Carrie McGiffort: English literature, Roberta Simpson; rhetoric, Beula Hutchinson.

Silver Wedding. The 6th day of November, a large concourse of relatives and friends met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. G.

Stowe, of Hayes township, it being the 28th anniversary of their married life. After a time spent in a social manner by the company, it was thought proper that the happy couple renew their vows. J. L. Taylor performing the ceremony after which Mr.

C. G. Epperson presented them with a silver table set in behalf of the friends. The set consisting of one dozen knives and forks and teaspoons, one half dozen table spoons, also a beantiful chair tidy by Miss Ella Taylor. The following is a list of those present: Mr.

Noble Prentice called on the REPUALICAN to-day. Mrs. W. J. Lloyd was visiting in Hutchinson yesterday.

Walter Inman, traveling agent for the Kansas City Star, made the REPUBLICAN a visit this morning. George Graham, died at Ellinwood this morning after 8 long and painful illness, aged 57 years. The funeral will be held at the Baptist church in this city to-morrow at 11 o'clock, under the auspices of the Odd Fellows, of which order he had been an honored member for over thirty years. The deceased was long a resident of McPherson and is well known here. We understand that Dr.
