Pendergrass REUNION DATES FIXED AT THF MEETING TUESDAY NIGHT AUGUST 28, 29 AND 30 Display of Agricultural Products tc be a Feature Now Ready to Book Attractions. From Thursday's Daily. The Old Settlers Reunion this year will be held on three days-Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday August 28, 29 and 30, it' was decided at the meeting held at the Commercial club rooms Tuesday night.

The meeting was called by George W. Hood, president of the association and was attended by some fifteen oi twenty business men who realize that the reunion is the biggest event of the year for Columbus and Southeastern Kansas in general and whe are ready to give it their best sup port. Cutting the reunion from four tc three days is thought best at this time although the decision is not final. There is a possibility that the affair may be stretched over another day but at this time it seems tha the reunion will be crowded intc three days and more entertainment provided on each day. The reunion will be held a week later than i was last year and some wished book it for some time in September but that would conflict it with the county high school and the othei schools of the county.

While nothing definite along th line of entertainment was decider" upon at the meeting Tuesday night it is understood that special em- pnasis win De piaceu uyou me ceiver Blazi Podpechan and Niclous hibition of agricultural products Krempusch are defendants, and This promises to be an exceptionall wherein said court did order and ad-good crop year. It was said that the child was playing with matches.

She had been shooting firecrackers earlier in the morning with the aid of her mother, and after the supply of ammunition was exhausted she is believed to have been playing with matches. The life of the child probably was saved when Mr.s Wagner grabbec the child in her arms and hurried out into the, yard, where she smothered the flames with her own clothing. This action extinguished the blaze, but burned Mrs. Wagner severely. A physician was called and after dressing the burns stated that the child would live, although she is ir a serious condition.
