Allenbaugh this week, giving a description of the Cave jnear Rock-port, Indiana, It is a good article, and well written, but is crowded out for want of space.5- The Lumber Girl. When a girl thinks a good "deal of a "spruce" young man, and cares for his company, isn't she in the lumber business pretty heavy? Certainly, if she "boards" in the same family, and "shingles" her hair, and is able to "plank" down a few thousand ef bank stock, and does not disturb the "sleepers" by late hours.

Tim-ber. And sdll more if she 'battens" where she "boards," and if she does not 'Hire" the "felloe out before she is "re-joist," in which case she ''wood" most surely "stave" ofl the "ceiling" of the "matched" contract for a "tie." We are not "siding" with the girl, nor do we "bark" at her "poplar" ways, but perhaps we "wood" "butternut" say anything more about the business unless she takes a chewiing "gum," which we could "knot" endure in silence, as it is an off "fence" against good manners. Cincinnati Furniture Worker. Well, really, we are "solid" for the "lumber girl," and to prevent her becoming "blued" we advise her to put her "felloes" on sticks" four months and be sure to reject all "sappy" pieces. She should see that her "bows" are "clear stuff," free from "wind shakes" and "heart cracks." Southern Lumberman.

As hard a "knot" as we are, we liked to split our "sides' laughin at this. Announcement. W. T. Potts announces himself a candi-tor Justice of the Peacs, subject to the will of the republican convention.
