(JinxJay afternoon G. Miller had an iilu-rcatiou with some parties relative to the payment of a debt. He went home to "get a gut" and hen he came back tip town Marshal Oui.Uin gathered dim In on a' charge of Ctirrjing concealed weapons. l.nti in police court, he did a tale of woe unfold that was calculated to turn the Htoniest heart, but It failed. According to Mr.

Miller, this gnn was idly in need of cleaning and it was to be taken to the express ofllce for chip-ment, but according to the police judge it was a dangerous weapon, of large executive ability, all ready for action and having no business on the repair track. Ten Dollars and costs. And The Fire Bell Rang. Thursday morning the gasoline in the tank of the engine at the overalls factory "let go" and in the fractional part of a second the Graph in force became aware that current history was making witn great rapidity. When the tank exploded a fine spray of gasoline was thrown to all parts of tlie'room and this caused a sheet of llame, only limited in size by the walls of the room.

Five young ladies, Misses Lottie' Sisemore, Eula Covey, Clella Lyons, Maude Clark and Bertha Crouse were at work in the factory at the time and the speed they developed in making their get away would uiakn Lou Dillon turn green with envy. The fire department responded very promptly to the call, and soon had the flames in subjection. The overall stock was considerably damaged by rmoke and water and each of theyoungladies lost one of those milliner's confections dear to the feminine heart. The fire was in cIosp enough proxim ity to cause the Gbai'iiio heart to go pitty-pat, and we are glad indeed to come out with no smell of fire on our garments. Letter List.

It seems that one of the grounds of Mr. Shepp-ard's offending, and, perhaps the most serious, was his allegation that the railroads had dominated the democratic state convention in 1902 and secured the nomination of a candidate for supreme juege who would favor them. We hope the lesson contained in the action of the supreme court iimj be sanctified to Mr. Sheppard'a future iwe, and that however uuich he may feel called upon to roast individuals, or courts, or corporations, he will refrain from laying the hand of sacrilege upon the democratic party of Missouri, whether in convention ammftlsd or othrwli, contains the trade and the Our I'ltklf s.Cel ery, Kaur Kraut Olives, Cheese, Honey can't to eict-llfd In qual ity.
