hW Wm A lp Uss iest vim Died. Delia, daughter of Richard and Louisa, Whitlow, passed peacefully 3rd, 1891, aged 10 years, 9 months, and 16 days, caussed from blood poisoning. Drs. Herring, of Highland Station, and Campbell, of Troy, were the attending physicians. Her remains were interred in the Iola cemetery, July, 4th, at which a goodly number of sympathizing friends assembled to pay the last sad rite to the one who had seemed so bright and promising.

Called home in her innocent childhood. Released from this world of woe. Our darling has entered the Heaven Where the pure in heart may go. We arc lonely, but would not recall her To sorrow and pain below. "Suffer the coming of Children," Said Christ, in Ilia infinite grace.

"The merciful Father in Heaven, For such hath prepared a place; And the angels of innocent children Do always behold his lace." Bitter the tears of parting, When we bury our treasure from sight; When the light of the home and the household Goes down in the grave's gloomy night; Iiut smiles of joy shall be greeting. When we meet in the City of Light. A Fhirxd. IOWA POINT. Owner.

The Missouri River has cut a permanent channel through Doniphan Point, on the Missouri side, just south of the town of Doniphan, by which the channel is made very nearly straight from Geary City to Atchison, a distance of seven or eight miles. When the water goes down, it will leave the old channel a lake, something near seven miles in length. This will be a better thing for Doniphan than the river was for, since no boating Is now done, the river is of no service, and only cut the banks on the Kansas side. The lake will be made a pleasure resort, and perhaps since the cutting of the banks Is no longer a hinderance, a railroad track will again be laid through Doniphan.

The Sever Failing Remedy. Those who continue to suffer with contagious blood disease, after having gone through the usual course of treatment, have one consolation: They can fall back on the the never-failing specific, S. S. 8. Sometimes they suffer from the diaeaae itself, and sometimes from the effects of the treatment itself, especially if mercury and other mineral poisons have been employed.

In either cane they can find an infalible remedy in S. 8. 8. It would be better to take advantage of the remedy before undergoing other treatment, as thousands have done and are doing, but it is not everybody's foresight that is as good as his hindsight. JS-if The other day, while lecturing and selling his "Twin Hells" at Red Oak, Iowa, John N.

Reynolds was arrested for swindling a man out of a farm and other property, some years ago. This is the same man who was hailed as a Jesus Christ in Doniphan County, five years ago. Newspapers were started to defend him, politics were jun with him as an issue, the Chief was to be "done up" for exposing him, and "Universities" were subordinated to his glory. By the way, is there a single Reynolds "convert" in the County who has not backslid Is there a single man left in the County who devoted himself to championing Reynolds A Mother's Gratitude. My son was in an almost helpless condition with flux when I commenced using Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy.

It gave him immediate relief, and I am sure it saved his life. I take great pleasure in reccommending it to all. Mrs. M. Johnson, Everett, Simpson Miss.

25 and 50 cent bottles for Bale by D. C. Sinclair, Troy; MeCormick Gilmore, Severance. yrit- We regret to learn that Capt. John Schilling, of Hiawatha, had his right arm broken, Tuesday.

He was in the hay field, and attempted to climb upon a load of hay by means of a step-ladder, when one of the rounds or steps broke, throwing him to the ground, and in attempting to break the fall, his arm was fractured. This comes of trying to climb upon the Alliance wagon. Ho made the mistake in supposing hat men had to work in the fields in order to belong to that party, when they only sit on their hind ends and howl. jpi As there is no royal road to learning, so there is no magical cure for disease. The effect, however, of taking Ayer's Sar-saparilla for blood disorders comes as near magic as can be expected of any mere human agency.

This is due to it3 purity and strength. Pensions. Ijint week was a good one for Doniphan County people, in the way of pensions. T. J.

Ferguson and Herman Christel, of Wathena James M. Knight, Henry Jenkins, and James McGlenc3', of Troy, and Peter Anderson, of Black foot, Idaho, formerly of Wayne Township, were granted pensions and Simon Shoe, of Troy, got an increase. We find several other names that sound like Doniphan County people, but are not sure. Mr. CLark, to the public I wish to ay to my friends and the public, that I regard Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy as the best preparation in use for Colic and Diarrhoea, It is the finest selling medicine I ever handled, be cause it always gives satisfaction.

Every other day now the B. and M. Road is moved back from the river, and the route changed between Preston and Brenner. In the meantime, no survey has yet been made, except that a person who would like to sec the change made, has gone over part of the imaginary line on horseback. Ayer's Hair Vigor has long held the first place, as a hair-dressing, in the estimation of the public.

Ladies find that this preparation gives a beautiful gloss to the hair, andentlemen use it to prevent baldness and cure humors in the scalp. A sensation was caused in St. Joseph, last week, by the discovery in a cellar of bottles containing the bodies of prematurely born babies. From all accounts, they are the results of the practice of a person not unknown about Troy, who is in the abortion business over there. Jpff- This (July 15) is one of our anniversaries.
