Hopkins, attorney general. If the Hopkins ruling holds and under the recent opinion of the supreme court it is entirely within the province of Walter K. Wilson, state bank commissioner, to decide what deposits were deposits under the guaranty act it will affect a number of certificates of deposit totaling more than $100,000. Hopkins and Wilson have drawn up a proof of claim to be made by all holders of certificates of deposit in the bank.

These claims must show whether certificates represent money or drafts actually deposited in the bank, or notes given in exchange for certificates. According to reports from the bank examiners; Felix Broeker and H. J. King today refused to grant an injunction against the paving of forty miles of highway east of Junction City. After petitions for the road had been approved and the concrete highway constructed by the board of county commissioners, H. Ileidel and other farmers in the affected district brought a suit to enjoin the board from building the road. At the hear-in? in the district court today Judge King exonerated the commissioners of charges of misrepresentation. A portion of the highway may be constructed next year.
