The city council met last uight pur suant to adjournment. All the council were present, and his honor, Mayor How they Propose to Celebrate the Indiana Election. The demonstration spoken of in yesterday's Argus will be held Saturday night, at tbe grove in Parkdale. It was thought best to take the money which would be used in tbe purchase of fireworks, and give it to the people in our State who are suffering from the loss of crops.
