It is now known beyond a doubt that the greenbackers are not pulling with the democratic party lu Indiana, as was expected they would do by the democratic managers. The green-backers of this country actually seem to entertain tbe idea that they have strength enough in Indiana to carry the state hi November, and electa flat ticket! From the latest canvass of tbe vote of that State the democrats swear by all that is holy that they have a dead sure thing, but would like for the greenbackers to help them out as a return for the good offices done them in Maine. The Hoosier State is 3,000 Republican, should the greenbackers and democrats combine so at least say the Republicans who have made a study of the situation, and ascertained by a canvass that has embraced every vote iudlvid'ally. Among the three claimants, who is likely to win the prize? It is in our minds no question. The party of principle will and must win.

Its antagonists are men who, it is our honest belief, would stoop to any trickery to gain the ascendancy. These hungry politicians who have been kicked out of the Republican party by virtue of their corruption are marshalled on the other side, desperate and revengeful. They are buoyed up by reports false and damnable; their campaign documents are filled up with vituperations against the party that, had it not have shown unprecedented leniency, would have hung every black rascal of them. And now they come tor-ward and ciaira as a right, not only recognition as patriots, but want to be FINE BOOTS and SHOES. Full Stock Just I sell Cheap.

This is the policy of Mr. Foucht as we ly engaged in perfecting the plans of a separate building agreed upon by the joint congressional committee for the accommodation of the library of Congress. The committee, consisting of Senators Voorhees, Kernan and Morrill, and Representatives Cook, Geddes and Claflin, have agreed upon a meeting in October to receive and consider these plans.

The library of Congress is close on to 400,000 volumes, and the present accommodations iu the west central projection of the capitol are now conceded to be wholly inadequate. The plans contemplate accommodations for not less than volumes, with suitable accommodations for persons making researches or consulting authorities.
