ON MAIL ORDER BUSINESS. In the Garden of Eden there was a tree Of apples as pretty as they could be; Now Adam was told not to tamper with these Though the rest of the fruit he could use as he'd please. When Eve heard this she said, "By gum, Adam, you go and get me And Adam, obedient as a man should be, Made a bee-liner' for the tree. This order, as you will understan', Was the first order ever sent by manIf 'twas sent "by it was sent "by male," And so to go on with the rest of the tale, When this was learned it caused great wrath, They were told to leave and shown the pathThus Adam and Eve from their home were driven By the first Mail Order that was ever given, So now, good friends, before you leave, Let's all take a lesson from Adam and EveTreat your merchants square and they'll treat you To the best they have got and the best they can do. Don't send your cash abroad to roam, But spend it where 'twill help at home.

-Written for The Booster by A. Washburn Campus. THE MAN'S SHOP Is now open with high grade line of Men's FurnishingsHats Caps at popular prices The New Toggery 820 Ave. Open Evenings THE TOILER'S SONG. The World may stand aside and damn The labors of an honest man Or tiller of the soil; But who that's honest seeks to shun To let the world know him as one Who lives by honest toil? The World may laugh and say with scorn That I am of a poor man born, And am of common dust; But what care I if there be dirt Upon the bosom of my shirt? The heart beneath is just.

With honest hands I earn my bread, And in the evening on my bed I seek and honest rest; No visions of a ruined home, And broken hearts do ever come, To say I am not blest. And eye for eye I meet each gaze, Nor care I for the scorn which plays Upon the rich man's lips; For, though I'm humble in this strife, Yet when I drain the cup of life There'll be no dregs to sip. And where I lie still and alone May be marked by no earthly stone, And I forgot may be; Yet every breeze that blows shall wave The grass that grows above my grave For truth and liberty. -Written exclusively for The Booster by A. Washburn Campus.
