Edward Gaylord, 709 Government Way, Coeur d' Alene, Idaho, writes an interesting letter to the Bulletin on the "Land of the Pine and the Oregon as Byron sang of the "Land of Cypress and Myrtle." The Coeur d' Alene country he describes as the most beautiful and picturesque part of the great northwest winter or summer, and the lure of the wild is ever drawing one afield. "From my windows I can see the snow capped mountains, while down here in the valley the grass is green and the waters of the lakes shimmering in the sunlight. In about fifty days, though, there will be no green grass and little sunlight. Sun up at 8:30, sundown at 4:30. "At this season of the year every one that can squint a gun sight is out after a mallard, teal or pheasant.

In the marshes of the St. Joe river one may see thousands of birds and a good shot may get one. For one not quick on the trigger, no duck. "And there are more beautiful women to the acre here than in any other place in the world, excepting, of course, To-peka, Kansas. If you don't believe this, come out here next summer and we will find a shaded spot and a comfortable bench on the lake front and watch the 'September Morns' sporting in the clear ice-cold water, or plunging from a forty-foot diving mast.

Everybody swims, even the babies and the old folks. "Fine $25,000 Temple here in Coeur d' Alene." "I am well, thank you, and delighted to be of the membership of good old Si For the Mysteries.
