WICHITA, KANS. W. Y. Teetzel, marble merchant, 214 North Main street, has just taken an order from Geo. C.

Prutt, of the Chicago Lumber company, for a $1,000.00 family vault. Rev. Napoleon Helgoland, the popular and able young pastor of the First Unitarian church of tills city, called to pay his respects to the Bulletin the other day. Tills society holds regular services in Mar-ket hall, to which all are cordially invited. I there is any one we like to see prosper it is the ladies, and the Bulletin rejoices to note that the Misses Fisher, proprietors of the so doing.

Tills hotel is on South Fourth avenue, lias tlfty-tlve rooms, nnd has no trouble in tilling them all. The enterprising boot and shoe firm, Trlinbell Freicker, 110 East Douglas avenue, when asked how times were in the boot and shoe trade, smiled a big smile and said it was tip top, and that they curried a much larger nnd more complete stock now than ever before. Tills is a very enterprising firm. The Mascott Grocery, 728 North Main street, hangs out its sign in the Bulletin tills week. This house is properly named.

It is a mascot to all who desire good, fresh groceries and produce at low cash prices. Mr. V. Kiefer, the proprietor, has been here some eight months, and is now enjoying a splendid business. lie reports trade on the increase, nnd is well pleased with his success.

The Mascott Grocery keeps positively everything in their line. It was our intention to muke a lengthy notice of the Anchor Building and Loan company, an institution we wish particularly to present to the people of Wichita, especially to the young men and men of moderate means, but in order to do the subject justice we have saved it over until our next issue. For information about business in the merchant tailoring line, Swab Glossar, 200 Nortli Main street, were visited, they being an extensive firm, and in business here for six years past. They were busy arranging a mammoth stock of full style goods, to which they pointed with pride" when asked how trade was. This firm claim to have the largest stock in the state and do a business commensurate.

Their trade conies from the best class of people in the city, The Bulletin will present a column or two of interesting interviews with various business firms each week, and will thus show just what the present and future business outlook for Wichita is. There were many seen this week who will have to be reserved for a subsequent issue, owing to a luck of space. In this department, as well as all others, the Bulletin will do no false booming and tell no lies, but confine itself to the solid truth, and we hope to make this an interesting feature of our paper. WHOLESALEJWARKETS. Note.

We quote as nearly as possible the prices at which goods can be bought in the quantities ordinarily required by country merchants. FRUIT AND PRODUCE ARKET. There lias been a sharp advnnce in the price of eggs, and the demand is strong at 12c. Butter is not so plentiful as last week, reamery is still held at 20c. Little if any change in fruit and vegetables.

The new crop of lemons, ns is usual with the early fruit, is not up to old stock in quality, and prices range lower. We note the arrival of one or two cars of bananas, and the stock is up to average in quality. Potatoes are on the market at but the quality is not the most desirable. Our district court is full of divorce cases. Chicago must look to her laurels. The Boston store has hung out a new sign, which is bigger than all out doors. If we were a real fine young lady we would set our cap for Attorney Dean Gordon. The joints were closed most of this week, owing to the Y.

M. C. A. doings and W. C.

T. U. convention. A Chinese opium joint Is the latest enterprise. There are some people here just as wicked as the wickedest.

The Hotel Delmonico reported no new theatrical troupes since the Soap Bubble, but have some booked for next week, prominent among which is the Eunice Goodrich Comedy company. We had a long confab with Prof. Ken-die this week on the science of embalming, and was much interested. We tried to induce him to go around and embalm the Mirror fellows, but he wouldnt. The Journal is to add a womans column, and Mrs.

Lemon is to edit it. This is a good feature, and they could not have secured a more competent or accomplished lady in the city, either, to conduct it, than Mrs. Lemon. McNaghten Miles, the pioneer boot and shoe firm of Wichita, come to the front this week with an interesting proe lamation in the Bulletin advertising columns. Be sure and read it, for it is not only interesting, but will save you a dollar or two.

Mr. Rolirbaugli is a gentleman, a scholar and a good judge of newspapers. Ilis professional card now appears in the Bulletin; also, the advertisement of the Western Collection Bureau, of which he is the attorney. Mr. Ilohrbaugh is a man after our own heart.

John T. Thornton, of the patrol police force, shot and killed Henry Ebenhack, of the Metropolitan police, Monday. The coroners jury returned a verdict of just! liable homicide, which, however, will probably not stick in the higher courts. A woman and an old feud was the cause. An exchange truthfully remarks that certain candidates for office who refuse to meet each other in debate, before the election, on the grounds of inequality, will bo found drinking together soon after the election.

Politics and dissipation make strange bed-fellows, who possess no jewel like consistency. Veta, the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. J.

Holmes, celebrated her 7th birthday on Wednesday evening, by entertaining a nice party of her little friends at the residence of her parents on South Lawrence avenue. The occasion will long be remembered, not only by the little hostess but by all the little folks who enjoyed the pleasures and hospitalities of the evening. Young ladies of Wichita, do you for goodness sake quit chewing gum on the streets. Ileally, girls, if you knew how it looked, and what remarks are made, you would not do it. It is a sight for the gods to turn a corner and come suddenly upon a handsome lady, as fresh as a water lilly and as beautiful as a hourl, masticating a wad of gum and wabbling her pretty jaws like a brindle heifer chewing her cud.

Mr. A. A. Luttrell, of the old, popular and well-known clothing house of Luttrell Brothers, 122 East Douglas avenue, returned from his eastern trip on Thursday evening, after an absence of several weeks. Al.

says lie enjoyed a huge time in Chicago, witnessing the great races and other attractions, but the most important result of his trip to the customers of this house, is the mammoth stock of clothing, gents furnishing goods, hats and caps, purchased for thier fall trade, which comprises all the latest styles of the season. Look for their fall proclamation in the next Bulletin. J. H. BLACK, Sec.
