At the urgent request of many of our readers we publish in this issue the dependent and delinquent child law of 1901. Judging by the requests for its publication, there are many of our good people in Kansas, including judges, justices of the peace, city Judges and othr peace officer who do not know of such a law and do not know when it passed or where to find it. The law itself, after two years of trial, ia proving one of the most beneficient laws on our statute books. Hundreds of abused and neglected children have been rescued through the application of this law. We publish it to-day in order to inform those who have, or may have anything to do with such children, just how to proceed, and where to apply for council.

Every county attorney is bound to proceed under this law where his attention is called to a specific case of its violation, and every justice of the peace, city judge, probate judge and district judge are under obligations to hear such cases and find, in each and every case, as this law requires. We trust that thousands who never knew of such law before, will care.
