The two big things which Mr. Leach did as Park Commissioner, he made pay their own expenses, the Sunday afternoon Park Meetings with band concerts from May to September were more than provided for by the money raised from park concessions, and the other big feature of his short term of office was the bathing beach which paid for Itself the first year and was made to earn $1800 this year because It was first class and well established.

The many other things which Mr. Lench was able to do ith the money which was provided for park expenses by the regular budget, were the Installation of a large amount of permanent play ground apparatus, the putting out of a park nursery of trees at almost no cost to the city. The building of a section of a green house which has been In use two winters. Mr. Leach did so many good things for the park in so short a time that some people who did not know his ability as a manager, thought sure that he must havebeen extravagant, whereas he only spent the amount provided In the budget, but he used It for park Improvements and not for salaries for political -henchmen. When you vote for Park Commissioner the 24th of this month, remember what Leach did in six months at small cost and give him your vote.
