I OF FANCY AND STAPLE GROCERIES, Topeka Sabbath School. On last Sabbath we had the exceeding pleasure of attending the Sabbath School, held 'in Museum Hall. The superintendence was conducted by that pious and straightforward gentleman, Mr.

Seagrave. Quite a large number of scholars were in attendance, but, we are sorry to say it, few of them were boys. The girls are generally pious and do not need that stqpt religious and moral training that is necessary for the boys of the present day, who are always upon the street and learning what is to be learned whether tending to good or evil generally the latter. We were highly pleased with the manner in which the whole exercises were copducted, bet lieving that the Sabbath School is the place where a child is trained up in the way he should go, and the place that will ultimately fit him for that good world of which we often hear our preachers of the Gospel talk about. Parents, you who have children old enough to attend this place of youthful religious instruction, you do your child great wrong if you do not 4 alee him or her by the hand on each Sabbath morning and lead them to the Sabbath School.

Teach them what, is right while they are young, and although they may stray away from your teachings during -the giddy time of youth, yet when reason matures you may expect to see them take a place alongside the good and the pious and finally occupy positions of honor and trust among their fellow beings on earth with a glorious future, full of hope, beaming with celestial grandeur, and looking to that haven of eternal rest that is free from all suffer-ing.
