Ling, Harvard, 1, 2 and 3. 1500 Birds and Good Competition The annual exhibition of the Nebraska State Poultry Association was held at Friend, January 16-19, and was one of the most interesting ever held within the State. Fifteen hundred birds were on exhibition and competition in most of the classes was very keen. President Gaiser and Secretary Pegler spared no pains to make this show a great success and their efforts were not in vain.

Poultrymen were present from all parts of Nebraska and adjoining States, and all expressed themselves as being well satisfied with the treatment received. On Wednesday evening an interesting meeting was held at which addresses were made upon the relative value of different breeds. Thursday evening the annual meeting was held at which new officers were elected and reports read. The reports showed the Association to be in a flourishing condition. The premiums were paid promptly and exhibitors went away with the money in their pockets.

This is the correct way to run a show and is the only way to have complete satisfaction. After the" business meeting a banquet was given in Hewitts Hall which continued until the wee small hours of Friday morning. It was a very enjoyable evening indeed The officers elected for 1900 are, president, C. M.
