The Burlington Daily usonian. PRICE ONE CENT. THE LAST SAD RITES. The funeral of the late Char'es Kahnt was held this afternoon fr the M. E.

church at 2:30. Rev. J. Brant delivering the discourse. The services were beautiful and impressive.

The I. O. 0. F. of which he was a leading member attended in a body.

The interment was made in Graceland cemetary, under the direction of Undertaker Joseph Gibbon. The funeral of Charlhs Kahnt was one that will rest in the minds of every citizen of Burlington for ages to come. He was, a man whom children loved to talk with, but alas a choicest flower has been plucked from our midst which none other can fill his place beneath the blue canopy of heaven. AT THE BAPTIST CHURCH. The social at the First Baptist church last night was well attended.

The tables were full nearly all the time, from 6 to 9 o'clock, a nice short program was given, consisting of music and declarations by Miss Jessie Johnson, Miss Iva Senclair. Miss Annie Megan and Miss Jodie Baldwin sang a solo which was highly appreciated by those present. The ladies of the church express their sincere thanks to the good people of the city for their liberal patronage. The gross receipts were $9.40. MARRIED.
