THE MESSENGER 19 hard this year. The results of their labor were shown in the number entered in the preliminary debates. The preliminary debates were held Wednesday, February 9. Those entered were Ruth Coe John Stevens Bristol McHugh with the aid of the balopticon, which has shown many post card views of noteworthy and interesting places in Germany. The accompanying explanations have been given by different members.

In order that the world may know that the club is up and doing and has some pep, the members have lately selected pins. It is hoped that these will stimulate interest in the club. At the meetings excellent music is rendered by the double quartette, consisting of Beulah Kistler and Susan Sonderup, soprano; Beatrice Meeker and Clara Moon, alto; Marvin Harms and Ray Mc-Glynn, tenor; Ward Winrod and George McIntyre, bass. DEBATING CLUB.
