Reports were in for all the societies. The records of the year were most encouraging. For the first time in many years all current bills had been paid, and the amounts in different treasuries showed several hundred dollars on hand toward a new house of worship. The meeting was full of enthusiasm and complete unity. The most important action of the evening was suggested by our moderator, and looked toward a single treasury for all departments of work.

This is business-like. It will be a great advance. Not the least significant action of the evening was the increase made in the pastors salary, of $200. It was also voted to give the pastor a missionary assistant. Praise the Lord for such business meetings.

The wife and mother died in ripe old age, and in a ripened Christian experience. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.
