Payable quarterly in advance. 1 I told you that it would reach Topeka, hut it is worse than we imagined, and now it is so well rooted that years will not eradicate it. Small pox No, worse than that the Belgian hare fever. Topeka is to have a Belgian hare anil it will he a good one as the interested people hereabouts have gone into the hare business in earnest and there is no doubt but that the formation of a club will result much good to all concerned. In adding the Belgian Hare Department to the Review we do not intend to take any of the pigeon news out, but by condensing the matter we practically enlarge the paper and give more reading for the same price and hope the addition will he appreciated by all.

It 1. as been reported by some of the jealous fanciers that Mr. Isaac S. Sheet had quit the Jack business. Well, so he did, until he could sell off his old stock, but we wish all the fanciers could examine his loft now.

He has one of the finest lots of Jacobins that it has ever been our good fortune to see. Mr. Sheet is not satisfied unless lie has the best, arid it is unfortunate that more of the same spirit does not prevail. LVJR SALE Fancy pigeons. When you see a cross in this little square it indicates that your subscription has expired. Please renew promptly. We have wit.h this issue added the American Homing Review and we trust the homing fanciers will encourage the departure by sending in all the news. We will appreciate the courtesy and will enlarge the Review if necessary to make room.

Our friends will confer a favor by sending in the addresses of all the fanciers in their respective localities. -X- From Editor Carter, To the Homing Pigeon Fanciers Brooklyn, N. I am sorry to announce that The American Homing Review was compelled to suspend operations on September 20th, ISM, but since that date expected to renew its publication. But on summing up totals I found that I was behind some $200 on the venture. I plunged too deep at the start.

It being too expensive for so new a publication the number of subscriptions received did not begin to pay expenses. I want to thank those fanciers who extended their kind co-operation to my effort to publish all the records made by homing pigeons in the United States, and if many had not delayed too long the paper would have been running on a much larger scale now. As the editor of the Western Pigeon Review has very kindly consented to take up my subscription list and advertisements and Hll them until their expiration, which I trust will be satisfactory. As the fancy depends on the press for the exchange of events the pcii-odicals devoted to their interests are worthy of generous support. Mr.

Lucas is to enlarge his homing department and make it as interesting as the late American ing Review. Wishing every fancier a prosperous Hying season and with regrets at being unable to he with you with the American Horning Review, 1 remain, Fraternally Yours, Howard Carter, Editor American Homing Review. H. Trapp, who has had much experience as a publisher. A Belgian Hare Department, edited by Annie M. Trapp, the well-known authority on rabbits, will hi a new and desirable feature. A specialty will be made of queries and replies, thus placing within your reach the knowledge which has cost others much time, annoyance and loss.

You are invited to participate in the discussions. Mr. J. I Lucas will continue as business manager and editor-in-chief. The Review has purchased the subscription lists, advertising patronage and good will of the American Homing Review and the Reliable Pigeon Journal, and solicits a continuance of your courtesies extended to those journals.
