The above reward will be paid for the arrest of A. P. Crilly, who is wanted at Philadelphia, for being concerned in procuring an abortion, resulting in thedeath of Andora Troxell, July 17, 88.

Crilly is a lawyer and mswers to the fol lowing description; About 28 or 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches in height, weighs about 180 pounds, hair brown, sandy mustache, dark brown eyes, face broad, high cheek bones, has a soar on forehead plainly seen, stands erect, and when walking leans forward, has a png nose, dead pimples on his no3e, good leeth, and shows them when talking or laughing. DR A. CAMPBELLS ARREST. Welland, Canada, Oct. 8. Arthur Hoyt Day, who murdered his wife by pushing her over the cliff at Niagara Falls, was this morning convicted and sentenced to be hanged December the 18th.

Resolved, That the Sergant-at-Arms of the House of Representatives be, and be is hereby authorized and direoted to offer a reward of $5,000 for the arrest and delivery to the Marshal of the District of Columbia, of one Craven E. Sil-cott, the absconding cashier of the late Sergeant-at-Arms of the House of Representatives; the said reward to be paid out of the contingent fund of the House.

Howard For the arrest and conviction of the four Mexicans who murdered Wm. Landrum at the Rock Water Hole, east of Castle Gap monn tain near the Paces on Monday evening, July the 21ft, 1890.

Description: One is rather tall, wore straw hat; another Above the average size; light oomplexion mustache, no beard; one was sharp featured, below the average size. The fourth is a bare faced boy. Benson at one time resided with a Mrs.

Bartlett, No. 511 Bluff Kansas City, it is thought Mrs. Bartlett had mailed the package to Felton. When the package was opened in the post-office at Kansas City, and the contents noted, Chief of Police Speers was notified, he in turn notified the sheriff at Leavenworth, Kansas, who swore out a warrant for the arrest, and started Jailor Pickens to Camden N. to serve it.

In the meantime, the package at K. was stamped and sent on to its destination. As Benson alias Felton, was about to receive it at the Camden post-office, he was arrested. Pickens and his man arrived at Leavenworth, Oct, 13th, Benson is now in jail at Leavenworth, bail being refused. Benson will be Woodstock Canada, Oct.

16. John R. Birchell, the murderer of Fred C. Benwell, will be hanged November the 14th. Princetown, Earnest Humphreys, (he negro who murdered Dicey Miller, his paramour, was taken from the jail the 26th, and hanged by colored lynching party.

From a description in the Detective World, detective R. L. Barker one of our subscribes located Dr. A. Campbell, alias Lovingheart at Calgary, N.

W. Canada. The doctor is wanted in Butler Ohio, for rape committed in November, 1881. Gqrnp-bell waj arrested by Barker and brought before the Canadian courts. But ma found that in respect of the extradition treaty between that country and the U.

S. had not come into forte until thy 4th of April of this year he could not be extradited. Should Dr. Campbell return to the U. S.

as it is expected he will, our readers should keep a sharp look ont and capture him. See reward, notice in this issue. Daniel Collier, who is wanted in Wise Virginia, for the murder of H. P. Sidham, has been traced to North Carolina.

See description in this issue. Albany, Oct. 8. In his report to Governor Hill on the Kemmler execution, Dr. McDonald says that despite the minor defects in arrangements of the apparatus, the first execution by electricity was a successful experiment.

He considers the execution by electricity infinitely preferable to hanging. The report recommends that there be but one plant for execution of criminals by electricity located in the central part of the state. MURDERER. $250 County Commissioners of Berks have offered a reward of $250 for evidence that will lead to the arrest and conviction of the mnrderer or murderers of Mathias Berger, whose badly decomposed body was found in a secluded part of Albauy township, in that county on Thursday July 23, 1890. Berger was a hermit and had no intimate acquaintances, but no ene mies as far as known.

M. Brackett superintendent of police, Minneapolis, Minn. Radford, Oct. 9. Peter Oberly, colored, was arrested here last night by the sheriff of Patrick county and C.

B. Scott, of this town, upon a charge of murder committed last October, in Patrick county. He was placed in our city jail from which he escaped during the night, a reward of $150 is offered for his capture. Officers are in pursuit and it is thought he will be caught during the day. A number of the privates of the Capital Detective Bureau are successfully plying their vocation. arreste in the Fifth Avenue hotel today, and locked up at police headquarters. jrhey were arrested on a cable dispatch from London, and were charged with being fugitives from justice. Their arrest created a sensation at the heotal. The ladies are both beautiful and refined.

Hkelton, Jacksonville, Ala. Judge Burgiss shot twice, on the 20th at Editor Peston, of that disreputable sheet the Kansas City Sun, but failed to hit him. Rube Burrows the notorious train and express coach robber, was captured last week, made his escape and was shot dead by the sheriff. Honesty is the best policy.
