Tljere Jire a lot of good things about The Lincoln and a number of just criticisms on Its arrangement. The present managements and service is fine and as good as it could be with the arrangement of the rooms.

The plan of the Lincoln hotel building seems to have been made with the Idea of seeing just how much rental space could be figured in on the two lower floors for outside businesses, to help the rental account. The lobby has a very good corner but the dining room Is a sad mistake In the way the architect shoved it into a dark corner and attempted to make daylight by artificial lveans. One cannot bar the pleasing effect of outside windows from a hotel dining room without hurt-ing It. The-crowding of so many rental rooms into tho building has greatly lessened the number of guest rooms, cutting the number down to about seventy, where the impression that one gets from the outside of the building Is that It has at least Che hundred. Its not possible or desirable to run banks, land offices, shops and all other lines of business in a hotel jjuildlng and not crowd the room that is needed for guestsjn a town like Scottsbluff.

Of course' the Lincoln 'is a far better class hotel than tlie ordinary email town can boast of having and is a very valuable asset to its home town, but we can see where it might have been much better had tile hotel idea and -ijJ'the rental Income been the para-1 mount idea with the builders. The new management of the Lincoln Is fine and the prices reasonable for the accommodations and wilt" without doubt get the place the capacity business that it HOTEL SIDNEY, SIDNEY, NEB. The, Hotel Sidney at Sidney, while not large is adandy little place, with good1 clean rooms and comfortable beds at reasonable "Landlord Klein and wife personally oversee tho management of tho hotel and look after the comfort of, their guests. You can be certain of a good room and good treatment with these people. Make it a point to stop at the Sidney and give them a trial when in that You will be well pleased.

The Sidney Is European and does ijot run a dining room but there ar good cafes nearby. $10 per week in the best rooms in the house It would be another matter. AVe would stand those holed in the attic, misnamed rooms, and not kick; but anyone that knows Boulder, knows very well that the Boulderado Is not crowded for rooms In April. Give that place the absent treatment on your Colorado trips until" they can learn to hand out a square deal on rooms. They do not seem to care for business anyway.

No attic hole is worth a real room might be worth twice that much and we are handing It to our readers to look out- for the Boulderado. AVe fell for the Citizens Cafeteria while in Boulder, and unfiesi-. tatingly recommend it. The food and the service are both excellent and the charges very moderate. Put it on your list and try it when in Boulder.

The Imperial Hotel at Jongmont, is serving some of the best meals that you will find on the trip around the horn. The food is good and abundant and the service excellent. Try them next trip. Loveland, is fortunate in having two good hotetC the Lovelander and. the Lincoln, either one first class and giving good service at reasonable rates.

Jhe Northern, at Fort Collins, was at one time one of the best and most modern hotels orC the horn trip, but the world grows and modern hotels keep pace with the growth of other things. As good a city at Ft. Collins should have a more modern ajid up-to-date hotel than the Northern. II. J.
