Miller has undergone an operation for the removal of a cancer. At this writing she is doing as well as could be expected. She expects and we look for her recovery at an early date. Bro Bennet Putnum had a light stroke of paralysis and has been unable to be away from home for about three weeks. He is improving rapidly and the indications are that he will soon be with us again.

Sister Sarah Wilson is still unable to attend the services of the Church It is a great loss to not have her with us. It was her joy and delight to always be in her place at every service, rain or shine, hot or cold. Would to God that we had more such Christians. Bro. and Sister P.

M. Preble met with a very serious and painful accident a few weeks ago. They had just started for a ride to their farm near Silver Lake, when, in crossing the railroad tracks on east Fourth street, the horse became unmanageable and overturned the buggy, throwing them heavily on the pavement. Bro. Prebles shoulder was dislocated and Sister Preble received very painful bruises from which she is confined to her bed.

She was just beginning, to move around after about two years confinement to her home, as the result of a fall upon the ice while performing her household duties. We hope they may soon recover from their Dr. R. E. MASSEY, 8o8 East Fourth St.

m. Sister Wilson is able to be up, and we hope to soon have her helpful presence with us in all of our work. Will not more of our members subscribe to the support of our little orphan girl in India? We have need of more money in this fund. Sister Wii liamson is unable, on account of her attendance upon our stricken Sister Miller, to attend to her duties as Secretary, and Sister Gandy has kindly consented to take the work until our Secretary can again be with us. Sisters of the Third Church, what has become of your heart interest in Missions? Have you forgotten the worlds Christless ones, the fields white to the harvest.

Have you forgotten all the prayers lhat God would send forth laborers into his harvest? The need is as great today as it ever was. Your need is as great today as it ever was your need to obey the last great command of the Master. It is no warmer at our W. C. B.

M. meetings than in your home, and the hopeless ones through out Gods world are calling for you and your help. Will you not rally to a larger service, a nobler consecration? Insamucli as ye have done it unto one of the least of these, my brethern, ye have done it unto me. The financial burden of the church is being borne by a very few of the members while a great majority are practically doing very little or nothing. This is certainly not as it shoud be.

During the month of May the general fund ran behind $10.73, and for the month of June $25.08, making $35.81 for two months. The church now owes the pastor and the Building and Ioan $54 00, being for the months of May and June, with $22.81 with which to pay it. If the pledges that have been made to these funds were paid promptly we would be entirely free from debt. In order that there may be some inducement held out to members to pay their pledges, the official board has decided to print a roll of honor, and any person paying their pledge in full, or in part, will have his or her name published in the Courier. Who will be on the Honor Roll? Come, brethern, let us not play at being Christians any longer.
