McCune is preparing plans for a $125,000 Elks Home to be built at English South Market streets Wm. Dedrick is secretary of the lodge. It will be 3 sty'. 75x146, of brick, cut stone, comp, roof, rein, concrete floors, oak finish, tile marble floors, hollow tile, metal lath, vapor vacuum steam heat, plb. and wiring.

Colored Baptist Church. The $18,000 Calvary Baptist church will be built by day work with Architect U. G. Charles superintending. It will be of brick, stone and frame construction, Clyde School.

Bids will be received until Monday, May 21, for the construction of a school building for Clyde, Kansas, plans for which were prepared by Architect Lorentz Schmidt of' this city. Protection Store. No dates have been set for the receiving or opening of bids for the construction of a $10,000 store building to be built at Protection, Kansas, for F. B. Field.

S. S. Voigt of this city is the architect. It will be 1 sty. 40x110, of brick, stone, comp, roof, pine finish floors, steam heat.

The heating, plb. and wiring will be awarded with the general contract. Halstead Church. No contract has been awarded to date for the $20,000 church to be built at Halstead for the Presbyterians. Architect S.

S. Voigt completed plans some time ago and Rev. John Milton Oliver, of Halstead is taking bids. Fulton School. No date has been set for closing bids for the construction of a $16,000 school building for Fulton, Kansas, plans for which have been completed by Architect Fred G.

McCune of this city. The owner will take bids. The heating, plumbing and wiring will be awarded at the time the general contract is awarded under separate contracts. Goddard School. A $16,000 school building will be built at Goddard, Kansas, in case conds carry at an election to be held there at once, carry.

It is to be a two story brick building, 48x70. Wichita Paving. The city will readvertise for bids for the construction of paving in this city'. No contracts were awarded May 15. H.

D. Lester is city clerk. Attica High School. Bids will be received by Architect S. S.

Voigt of this city until May 28 for the construction of a $33,00 school building for Attica, Kansas. Norwich Church. Architect S. S. Voigt will take bids until May 29 for the construction of a M.

E. church at Norwich, Kansas. Lassen Hotel. It is uncertain just when, plans will be completed for the $500,000 hotel to be built at First and Market street. It is thought that they will be ready for bids within two weeks.

Richards McCarty Bulford of Columbus, Ohio, are the architects. About a month will be given contractors in which to figure this job. It is to be 12 styls, brick, terra cotta, lOOx 140, of fireproof construction. Henry .1. Lassen, of the Kansas Milling Wichita is in charge.

The Travelers Hotel Building are the owners. Art' rev McNasli Apartment. No date has been set for the receiving of bids for the construction' of a $175,000 apartment house for Andrew McNasli in this city. Architect P. Hanson, of Chicago, will complete the plans soon.

T. C. Naylor of Wichita will have charge of this work which will be by day labor. Wilkey Apartment. Architect Don Schuler, of this city expects to complete plans for the apartment house for Margaret C.

Wilkey', within a w7eek and as the owners are eager to start construction, work bids will be received and colsed at once. It will be 2 sty. 38x45, of brick, frame, cement fda shgl. roof, oak fin. and floors and equipped for steam heat.

Stone Apartment. Plans will be completed within a week by' Architect W. V. Street 1735 Sou tli Water street for a $7,000 apartment house for T. J.

Stone to be built at 315 South Water street. The owner will take bids. The heating, plumbing and wiring will be awarded under a separate contracts at the same time as the general. It will be 2 brick, tile, Barrett roof, and equipped for hot water heat. E.

H. Lawrence Residence. The general contract for the con-stiuction of a $7,000 residence for E. H. Lawrence to be built at 901 N.

Emporia Aven.ue wras awarded to L. M. Seidle on a bid of $6,890. None of the sub-contracts have been awarded Don Schuler is the architect. It will be 2 sty'.

30x38, frame, shgl. roof, hot air heat. J. Elmer Reese Apartment. All the sub-contracts for the construction of the J.

Elmer Reese apartment house at 3rd and North Topeka Avenue have been awarded. The mill work was let to the Western Planing Mill the steel to the Ben. Sib-bitt Foundry Tron Works, the roofing to the American Cornice Works, the painting to Mr. Jackson, the heating and plumbing to John Bays and the wiring to the Southwestern Electric Co. The Deiter Wenzell Construction general contractors, will do the cement and brick work.

The foundation is up to grade. II. S. Conrow of this city is the architect. Friends University Gymnasium.
