January 19th 1893. Frank McOauley, who for several years lived with Henry Armstrong, near Goody's Bluff rented a farm recently in that neighborhood. Oal. Coker and Roland formerly occupied the farm and left some hogs there. Mr.

McCauley last week loaded the hogs into a wagon and hauled them to Nowata. A. Buckles purchased them and gave a check for the same. Frank took the check to Coffeyville and had it cashed and later Buckles went to that city and recovered it, The next character introduced ia the drama was Marshal W. T.

Cheap Feed. Stockmen who expect to make a success in stock raising at the comparative low price of cattle ought to exercise great care in procuring cheap anil at the same time nutri-tritive food for young stock. This can be done by raising some of the caue family, sorghum, Kaffir corn or Milo maize1 The first is cultivated for sngar, hence the sweet quality of the stock This is a fattening quality for cattle. The second two qualities are cultivated for bread, consequently a large amount of seed, this in our opinion is the beBt also for stock, for while it contains more seed it also retains some of the sweet qualities of the sorghum, making it a doubly profitable crop. This is especially true in the case of the Milo maize, the stock is larger aud taller than the Kaffir corn, bencn a lnrgHi-amount of seel.

Phis takas the place of earn and does not heat the stomach of young f.tock. The stock contains a sweet and consequently a fattening substance and the leaves are all that corn fodder coutaius. All of these species ought to be planted in drills and cultivated as corn to produce the desired result. A. trial in any of these kinds of food will convince any reasonable man of their usefulness.
