$1,00 PER YEAR, PUSHED OUT. The North Wall of the Elevator Fell Out Wednesday Bushels of Wheat Spilled. Shortly after 12 o'clock Wednesday noon the north wall of the elevator gave way owing to the overloaded capacity of the bins, and about 7,000 bushels of wheat was spilled on the ground. Wheat has been coming in steadily the past week and the elevator was filled to its utmost copacity, owing to the scarcity of cars for shipping, and the stone walls, which has been standing for over 25 years, could not stand the strain and gave way with a loud Nobody was injured as the employees had all left for dinner The elevator belongs to the Rea Patterson Milling of Coffey ville, and they were notified by telephone soon after the disaster The wall has been cracking for some time but no attention was paid to it as it was supposed to be strong enough to stand the strain Now would be the time to tear down the old tuilding and erect a large flouring mill and elevator combined, and we hope tTat such will be done as it is just what Liberty needs. Drill Started.

The Liberty Vitrified Brick Gas Co. started drilling for gas, this week, The company has plenty of gas for heating and lighting, but they bring in another good well so as to have an abundance of gas in case Liberty should locate a factory, and why shouldn't we when we offer free location and the ch- apest gas in the state. Anyone desiring to locate in Liberty should address them or the Liberty Land Co, for information. The Entertainment. The Christmas tree entertainment at the church Monday night was greeted with a crowded house The speaking was fine and the tree nicely decorated.
