We have dry iroods and grocery merchants; we have the very finest makes-of boots and shoes, and men who are always willing to repair them; we have fur nituro dealers; likewise threo active hardware men; two harness and sad dlo makers and dealers; three butch ers; two barbers; hotels plenty; two tailors; grain, wool, hides, dealers; two lumber merchants; dressmakers and millin crs too numerous to mention; lour fine drug stores; and many other industries. Our implement sales have been larger than any other town this siz'5 in the slate, and they arc constantly increasing.

Our' merchants carry everything needed any one, no matter how fastidious. We have a whole-souled set of people, like all western towns; active, iullol business, and generous in their dealings. Notwithstanding we are a long distance from the large market centers, people coming Irom the east inlorm us that goodscan hi had cheaper here than there. So it will not be necessary lor any to lay in a large supply of anything before coming here, lor oar merchants have everything necessary for outfits lor boomers, to last ono week or one year, und they sell their goods as reasonable as any other place. Then within tho next year it is confidently expected that the Southern Kansas railway will be extended from Coffeyville through Oklahoma to" Texas, thus giving the boom ers almost an air line from Oklahoma to Chicago, via fieyville and Kansas City," and affbHing them nearly every ad vantage in their new home that they enjoy now.

These remarks on Coffeyville are merely offered to show those contemplating a removal to Oklahoma that they need havo no fear about a place ot supply, nor tho quantity.
