Russell. After a song, the new president took the chair and an earnest consecration address was given by Bro. King, closed by prayer by Dr. Cranston. THURSDAY MORNING.

At 8:30 devotional led by Rev. A. K. McGrew. At 9:00 the moderator took the chair and minutes were read and approved.

Bro. Pope then introduced Dr. Riggs, President of Ottawa University, and moved that business be suspended and an address be delivered by Dr. Riggs. So ordered, and Dr.

Riggs gave us a splendid address on education and representing the claims of O. U. Report on Publication Society read and approved. Report on Education read by Bro. Pope.

On motion an amendment carried to give Ottawa University, a page advertisment in the minutes, and the report was adopted as amended. Report of committee on resolutions read. Adoption deferred by the convention. Report of Committee on Obituaries by Bro. McGrew, adopted, after remarks by several brethren upon the noble christian life of Bro.

P. G. Clark. Report of Executive committee read by clerk, adopted. Report on Foreign Missions, read by Bro.

Ferguson, adopted. Report on State Missions, read by Bro. Colvin, adopted. After some debate the Moderator appointed Bros. Houston, King and Sage as Committee on Home Missions, to report as soon as possible.

Report on resolutions read and adopted. Two members of the Executive committee appointed by the chair, Rev. Colvin, Osawatomie; Rev, A. K. McGrew, East Linn, Missouri.
