Tarkington and wife were visiting in Fairview Sunday. On their way returning home, they met a runaway team on the Labette bridge. The preliminary trial of Henry Watkins charged with complicity in the mill robbery was held before Justice Hendricks, at Oswego, Thursday and he was bound over to district court in the sum of $1,500, which he was unable to furnish and was sent to jail. The captured Pineville, bank robber, Whit Tennison, was brought over from Neosho, Mo. and was used as the principal witness for the state.
