Roberts is now looking after the peace disturbers. D. Reid and Harry Beck', who have been building the new residence of C. D. Newhouse, had all their tools stolen a few nights ago.

Anderson Windbigler and family, residing south of Springfield, are visiting his father, J. L. 'Windbigler, the poet of Stover. The school board voted to have the city schools open on Monday Septemtember 20. The janitor work was given to I.

N. Waters at $8 per month. The Horticulture Society will hold the last picnic of the season at the residence of A. I. Ross on Friday next September 10.

Chansler were in the city Wednesday taking a peep at the political situation. Webb is from Osage township aud would like the Republican nomination for sheriff while J. would not mind running for county clerk..
