Coal lias been discovered in McPher-son comity. Seneea expects the establishment of a creamery. Parsons, Labette county, has a new Opera house. Coal has recently been found near Junction City. Coffee has been successfully grown in Linn county.

Broom corn is worth $150 per ton in Ellsworth county, 125,000 pounds of galena a week are taken at Galena. Hunnewell is shipping one hundred car loads of cattle day. Samuel II. Raiuey, of Wellington, committed suicide lust week. 120,000 acres will be seeded to wheat in McPherson county this fall.

The Santa Fe company have already furnished nearly 4,000 bushels of wheat to needy settlers. Mr. William Martindalc, of Greenwood county, recently sold 500 head of cattle for $30,000. J. C.

G. dinger, of Stafford county, has killed 000 rattlesnakes with his own hands iu 3 years arid 3 months. Fni well of Chicago, ive forwarded to Gov. St. John, $1,000 for tliri aid of the sufferers on the Kunsns Land Oflice at Wichita, Kansas, September 2, 1880.
