That is about all the proof these Free Thought lectures generally have in support of their doctrine. Yet they seem to think that we are very ignorant it we will not accent it in preference to tho fiiblc. Your Bro. in Christ, Wm. Barker.

Three weeks wore given in a protracted effort in tho Valley, and thirteen days effort for the Sand Springs congregation. Our time, tho balance of the. two mouths was given chielly to educating a small number of disciples in tho valley.

The six additions were to the Sand Springs congregation, two being added in our first meeting of six days and four being added in our last meeting of seven days. This is a great field hero and should not bo neglected. J. Walters. Query Editor.

St. Annie, Nov. 20, brethren and readers of. the P. I went to Arlington and assisted Moneymaker a meeting including the fourth and fifth Lord's days in last month.

Three obeyed the gosneh While there Bros, J. C. Glover, Moneymaker and myself agreed to hold a few days' meeting at Lone Star in Pulaski beginning on the 14th of this month. The above mentioned place is a mission point. 4 The moral element built a substantial house there any to preach in who may pass that way.

Christians would do well to exercise as much zeal. Bro. Glover conducted the song service and Bro. M. did the preaching.

The people at this place never heard much gospel preaching, therefore we had to begin with first principles. On Saturday night a Baptist lady desired a private with me in which she asked tho privilege of uniting with us and then coming up to my home congregation and take membership. Nott came the tug of war. Here was a soul pierced to the heart by the word of God whose sad but intelligent countenance bore the unmistakable evidence of a convicted heart. At this point our sympathetic niture (independent of what t'ie Lord has said) would say, Come, we will endorse your (sect) baptism.

I told her that we had. 'ho congregation at this place and it would be unnecessary to take any step at that time. The things necessary to be done to bring us to Christ were presented in a masterly effort by Bro. after which I emphasized the importance of making the proper confession, and on Sunday at the 11 o'clock service she r. made the good confession and had started to the water to be oaptized when I started forborne.

Two others also were ready for baptism. Brethren, let us practice what we preach. 1 know to take a firm stand against sect baptism will cause some to cast my name out as evil, but they will not have the courtesy nor courage to call in question the consistency of the position. Popular opinion may overwhelm my influence, but I intend to be free from the blood of all mea. and finish my course harmony with the dear old Book.

I love to sit at the feet of such men as Bro. Alanthus, -J an. 1, 1900. Dear Bro. Moore: We had an interesting meeting at this place, commencing Saturday night before the first Lord's day in Dec, and continued three weeks.

It was a good meeting considering bad weather. The second week we were rained out part of the time. The interest of the meeting was disturbed bv the bad weather. Taking the meeting as a. whole it Kasa success.

There were 5 obeyed the gospel during the meeting. Four of the number being heads of families. The brethren were greatly strengthened. The interest was the best we have had here for a long time. The preaching was dono bv Bro.

G. B. Hancock. To say that it was ably done is putting it mild, Brother Hancock did not fail to declare the whole counsel of God while in our community. Brother Hancock does not need any compliments from me.

He is well known by the brotherhood. D. A. Holmes. Kansas City, Mo.

Dec. 26, 1899. Brethren: Wo closed a twelve days meeting last night at Splawn's Ridge, near Galhtau, Mo. There was one added to the congregation and the church otherwise strengthened. Bro.

C. E. Scott was with me and assisted much by conducting the song service. He is a model worker in a meeting. next meeting will be with the church at Belle Plaine, to begin the first Lord's day in Jan.

Waynoka, Dec. 8, 1699. Brother Moneymaker and J. C. Glover and hear them proclaim the unsearchable riches of Christ.

Yours in hope of eternal life, J. M. Martin. B. R' Rhodes.

Winfield, 5, 1900. Dear Bro. Moore: Our meeting with Round Mound congregation closed the 1st with sixteen additions. Seven of the above number were by confession and baptism, eight by commendation and one from the Baptists who had been baptized into Christ. We begin a meeting at Burden the 6th inst.

Your Bro. in Christ, Ben j. F. Martin. Republic City, Kansas.

Dec. 27, 1899. I closed a meeting in the Timber Street School house, Dawson Dec. 12, with seven baptized. Prom there 1 went to East Box Elder, in Caster and assisted Bro.

Chas. T. Cook in a meeting which closed Dec. 24. In this meeting we succeded in getting the congregation together and meet on the first day of the week.

We both 'made short addresses at the hotel in Grand Island Dec. 26. I was in Neb. 44 days and delivered 49 addresses. Earnestly desiring to see the cause of Christ prosper i remain, Your brother in Don Carlos Janes.

Moore: The writer filled his regular appointment at Hopeton, Okla. the fourth Lord's day in this month, and after the morning discourse we extended an invitation to those present, and four responded. All had been of the church before coming to the Strip; but, like many others, on coming to this new country and finding no congregation close enough to attend, they had just been content to sit down and wait. This now makes 19 we have succeeded in banding together at this place. This is one of Satan's strongholds.

All kinds of sects exist here, besides there is quite a strong Free Thought organization. They had a man here last fall to lecture two nights, by the name of Rems-burg, The same man I suppose that Bro. J. H. D.

Tomson encountered at Lacv. I did not have tho privilege of hearing him. I heard of one statement he made, which as near as 1 can find out is false. He says that, ''All the WANTED. A.

sound gospel preacher to locate in Pleasant Valley, Klickitat Wash. Must have the ability to hold the attention of the people. A single man prefered. Must come well rec-omended from faithful congregations. Any brother who would like to come and make this their home can select no better mission field than here in this county.

For further particulars, write to Bro. Peter Anderson. Pleasant, Klickitat Wash. M. J.
