Oscar Hull will resume his study of law at Ann Arbor, this winter.

Oscar has a bright future before him and we are all proud of him. G. W. Fross has returned from a visit through Indianaand Ohio. While'he enjoyed his visit with Id home folks he is glud to bo back Ho Kansas.

Walter Newbury is hauling the lumber for a new house on his farm, weBt of Potwin. This will replace the old log house which he bui't in 1887, Word received from Joseph Cornelius says he arrived at Visolin, safe and that he expected to start on a hunt-irg trip of twenty days September 11th. The crowd who went from Potwin to Colorado and took claims are back and spak very highly of the country where they located. All tut two filed on claims. The Missouri Pacific has agreed to put in a good crossing across their right of way connect with the sidewalk, as poon as the walk is completed to their property.

The new house being built by A. Claassen is uearing completion, It is now ready for the plasterers. This it probably the most modern farm house in tne county. Word was received from W. Houston from North Carolina, where he is visiting.an aunt.

From there he goes to Norfolk and Washington, and says he don't know when he will be home, Andy (Dick) Clawson and Miss Eef Snorf were married at Newton September 11th, 1907. These young people were both born and reared in this community and are held in the highest esteem by large circle of friends They will leside for the present on the Claw-won farm. Mo-Daniels and Rev. G. W. Durham, of Douglass, will oe at the Potwin hall to meet Una people of the school district to explain the advantages of a consolidated school district. A general invitation is extended to all to come to this meeting and a special invitation is extended to the patrons of the district adjoining this district.

Rev. Durham is an old teacher and is the man who organized and brought to successful. completion the onsolidated district at Burns. T. A. Bowyer has 'spent the past week at, A. N. Classen's, putting up, spouting, tin rootling, etc.

Higdon Poe are putting in a concrete foundation for A. Harper's new house, east of the bank. O. Smith and wife, son-in-law and daughter of P. H.

Martin, in from Wichita September 11th to visit. Roy and Bates Hamilton left Thursday for Western Kansas and Colorado prospecting. They went overland. The teachers in the Potwin school, Miss Sylvia Price and Mr. J.
