The roef commenced falling in Sunday, and Monday quite a lot of it fell in, mak ing it impossible to continue the work in the mine. Fortunately no one was in tho mine at the time, and nobody was hurt. Vve have heard it rumored that it would be impossible to work tho shaft any more, nnd that a new shaft would have to be sunk, but the managers think the shaft can be repaired so that work can go on again without any great delay.
