10. As our paper is small and we have to try and suit everybody we cannot devote much space to amateur affairs, but will try and make what we do have as interesting as possible. We thank all brother amateurs for sending 'us their papers, during our suspension, and we trust that those who have erased our name from their list will send us their papers, as we expect to stay. L. Wooley, electrician of this city, was dining at the Superior house in Cleveland, and it so happened that the only other occupants of the table with him were a bevy of telegraph operators. Mr. Wooley has a strong penchant for diamonds, and he generally Avears one of startling proportions. He is also an expert telegraph operator.

As soon as they were seated, one of the young ladies began to size him up; then placing her knife blade between the tines of her fork, she imitated a telegraph sounder and telegraphed to hei companions: "Get onto his nobs with the big Wooley caught on at once, and telegraphed back: "Ah, there? are you all on?" A general stampede of ladies followed. The Buiilingame News is resurrected and we expect to stay for good, if our efforts are appreciated. We have not issued our paper since July, 1887, on account of lack of support, but being requested by a number of our citizens to publish a paper, we have decided to again take up the editorial pen. A newspaper cannot be run without money, and unless the public patronize the newspapers, they are bound to "go under." We have enlarged our paper to twice its former size and have changed the subscription price from 15 to 25 cents, and we intend to make the paper interesting to all. We shall try and have the latest and most important news, and the best stories and sketches, so as to suit everybody; also a small portion of the paper will be devoted to amateur affairs.

We respectfully ask the citizens of this community to help us in making this the best paper in the county. We are small, we admit, but that leaves all the more room to grow in, and as our pages will not be filled with stereotype matter it will A new paper has been started in this place, called the Burlingame Echo, edited and published by W. 11. Mundy, of this city, who is a cripple and would ask all persons who -sire a spicr and original paper, to send in their subscriptions and help him in making a start. We would request all amateurs to exchange with him, and so encourage him to issue a paper.

A new paper has been started in Philadelphia, called the Compass, by 0. S. Haeghler, 312 Callowhill, St, We would like the brother "ams" to send us their uad'' in exchange for ours,.
