A horrible murder, committed near Jeimerviile, Chester county, has just come to light. It appears that on June HOtll a stranger arrived at the village, stopped at the hotel, and said he was i'rom Baltimore, but gave no name. On the following day Win. Uddr-sook drove up to the tavern with a team hired at Parkersburgh. Tho stranger after while began a conversation with him.

and wanted to ride, and the two went away together. When Udder-sook returned the team to the stable where it had been hired, the man receiving it remarked that thsre was blood on the wagon, which Uddersook explained in a plausible manner. The stranger was never again seen alive. Friday last a large number of buzzards were observed to have pierced the woods near town. An investigation showed arms and legs detached, which were recognized as the body of the stranger who had stopped at Jennerville.

The murdered man was stabbed in three orfour places, his throat cut and both arnifi and legs were severed close to the body. Uddersook cannot be found he is or was until lately on tlie Baltimore police force. The object of the murder was unquestionably plunder. It is reported 'the man was known to have considerable money on his person. The severed limbs were buried in a separate spot from the bodv and nojTfar from the house of Rhodes, a brother in-law of the supposed murderer.
