Up to date no showing has been made in the First National Bank affairs. The depositors still linger around the corners cursing ill luck. The long promised resumption of the bank has not taken place yet. How long will the people have to wait? S. S.

What is the matter with our post- office? Complaints come in every mail of subscribers not receiving then-paper, several subscribers whose papers are mailed regularly through the office here, have entered complaint to the same effect, something must be wrong. Oklahoma papers still insist that those who have been on the Cherokee Strip since March 3rd 1893, will be considered sooners. We see no senBe, no equity, no justice in such buncombe. If such were the case 99 per cent of the people on the border, in all the towns in Sonthern Kansas and all over Oklahoma would be disqualified. S.

Harding Riddell, proprietors of Cher okee Strip Guide, Arkansas City, Kansas. Gents: I enclose money order for for your paper, the weekly Guide, also the Settlers' True Guide and Hand-Book. First also I want information aa to whether I can come out in person and take a claim, and then return to Kentucky long enough to settle my business up here and then move my family out to the claim, say about five or six months.

Second also, can I take a claim and yet open a store in some town too, or would I have to live on my claim all the time. Respectfully, J. N. Butt. In answer to first question yes, you can come out and take a claim and then after you file get a permit from the land office to be absent for the same six months.

Second If you take a claim, you would have to reside upon it, if you are the head of a family, otherwise, you would not necessarily have to live on the land. You might get a claim near enough to town to live on It and yet do business in town. World's Fair Frisco Line.
