The pupils are industrious and orderly; and the patrons of the school manifest more than the usual concern for the welfare oi the school, which is a source of the highest gratification to the teacher. District Xo. 7 is perhaps the best appointed in the county. An elegantly' finished stone school house, 30x40 fret, centrally located, is the pride of the district. It is furnished with a full set of Guyot's large outline maps, with other appliances for the study and teaching of Geography.

The district has a library of text books free to all the pupils, and thus rie teacher is never annoyed with a diversity, or scarcity of text books; but when a hook is needed there is no trouble nor 'delay in obtaining it, as by the old plan. The district is also determined not to be dependent on local agents for Bchool books, but to adopt such as they think most suitable for school use, and to order direct from the publishers. There are at least two strokes of economy in the library, system First, The books cost much less, and secondly The teacher has the certain means of doing more and better work than by the old plan. The district wrill perhaps also furnish slates and stationery needed by the pupils after this term.
