Centennial detectives. TJIE WRONG MAN JA THE PENITENTIARY. The other day two persons named O'Hare were committed to jail. One was committed to the I'cntentiary for six mouths, while both were still in jail. When Jailer Crounse hallooed for O'Hare, to go to the Pcuiten-tiary, he did not apply the Christian name, and the result was that the chap who had not been sentenced, but who was anxious to get out, auswered, and he was takeu to the penitentiary.

A few days later O'Hare was again called by Jailer Croimse, and the other chap, who had really been sentenced, On reach-ing the. front office, a discharge awaited him, and he was set at liberty. It was then discovered that the irnocent man had been conveyed to the penitentiary, and the guilty one escaped. The chap entitled to discharge is still a prisoner. Albany Knickerbocker.
