S. Nichols brother of Mrs. King who is here from Missouri for a visit, and Miss Lamoine Mcintosh drove to Ft. Kunston Sunday. They report Herbert Ehrlich, one of Marions fine boys, who is stationed there, in the 853rd Supply is getting along fine enjoying camp life.

Mr. Fred Frobenius has just completed the labor on a big county contractthat of putting in the culverts on the Santa Fe Trail from the Dickinson to the 'McPherson County lines. It took some time to accomplish this task but the people of the county are assured that the work is well done for "Fred" For-benius is one of the best workmen to be found anywhere and whatever he undertakes is rightly done. A recent letter from Mrs. C.

C. Minton, who has so many friends in Marion, says that she and the daughter Harriet now reside at Sunnyvale, where Harriet has charge of the Kindergarten department in the schools. Poppe and Harry Gilbert were in Marion one day last week. Miss Lenore Miesse was at home from Stafford, Kansas, over Sunday. The Thimble Club will meet Thursday, Nov. 1, with Mrs. Clyde Loveless.

Bryan and daughter Harriet, came over from Manhattan last Saturday for a visit with relatives here; Mrs. Margaret Knode went to Kansas City, Kansas, last week to Bpend a part of the winter with friends there. Hett gave a surprise in their honor Sunday, Oct. 14, at their home, the Hill-Top Farm. The occasion was a family reunion together with other relatives. A most bounteous dinner was served and a walk out supper. The tables were adorned with cut flowers.

There were about 80 present. Those being present were, the children: Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Mcintosh and son Glen; Mr. and Mrs.
