Farm bureau members in south Missouri saved more than their membership through the fann bureau in one deal recently. A number of them needed drain tile. The best price they could get from their local dealer was $35 a thousand.

This seemed too high so they got in touch with the Missouri Farm Bureau Commission Company. This organization delivered the tile to them for $28.50 a thousand. Immediately' after the farm bureau car cf tile arrived local dealers cut their prices to $30. The result was that the faimers who ordered through the Missouri Farm Bureau Comanis-sion Company saved $6.50 per thousand and all the other farmers saved $5 per thousand. Virginia Does Own Tanning. Through an arrangement made by the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation many county farm bureaus in the state are using a new plan of hide tanning. R. C. Riddell, of Louisa, the man who tans the hides, has aranged to take care of the increasing volume being 'sent in by the county organizations.
