Miss Ida French teaches again this summer in District No. 55, near Bonita the now town botween Olatho and Ocheltrco. Miss Ida is not a now hand at teaching, however. At tho examination in January, thirty-five out of forty-seven received certificates in March thirty out of forty-seven, and in April seven out of eleven were successful. Don't forget to urge upon your pupils this summer not to be tardy or absent.

Let mo have, for publication, tho names of all pupils who are neither absent nor tardy for ono month or longer. Prairie Contro school last winter, has been engaged in joint District No. 70, on the west line of tho county for having been Principal of tho State Kormal School at Leavenworth for this summer. Miss Laura Maxwell, ono of the most thoroughly earnest lady teach ers in Johnson county, began asum- mer term of three months in District No. 62, directly west of Prairio Centre, on April 5th. One thing which has alway recommended Prof. Williams to the people, and always will, is that thcro is no shoddy about him and another 6uch an intelligent, earnest, experienced educational organ izor in tho State there is not.

I do not know that Prof. Williams would bo a candidate, but it is evident that if ho will consent to be, tho people of the State cannot select a more able man to take charge of those interests which should ever bo regarded as the highest in tho State. cello township is now clerking in the grango store at this place. 36, about three or four miles south of Olathe. His term three months, and salary $40.00 per month. Miss Hose L. Williams teaches in tho Hayes district this 6ummer, directly north of Olathe. This is Miss Rose's first term as teacher, but sho is anxious to succeed.

Miss Acldie Fay began a threo months term of school in Stanley on April 5th, at a salary of $35.00 per month.
