Lily Randall Hoover. A departure in the making of the program for this year's session of the Sterling Chautauqua is the appearance of a vocal recitaligt, Mrs. ly a new organization now. Three nevy L.ly Randall the well known in the party since they last appeared in this vicinity. They are not as strong as the old organization.

In their place the Weatherwax Brothers have been secured for one evening's entertainment. These boys are brothers and are rapidly pushing tnemselves to the top in the music world. They have been giving satis i i sr Tt 1 1 I singer of Saint Joseph, -Mo. Mrs. Hoover is a special soloist at tne Francis Street Methodist cnurch in that city.

She has' an unusually strong voice of the mezzo-soprano quality, and a range that permits her to render the best of the classical arias with pleasing success. Mrs. Hoover will appear on the closing day of the chautauqua, in two periods, recitals that will prove to be among the best numbers of the ten days' Pitxgram. Her programs will include arias from some of the best composers, and other son'js of faction on. the chautauqua and lecture CDarse platforms the past few years aid tow considered a very strong organization.

The Cooper Quartet. The Cooper Quartet will be closing their season on the road in the interest of the college. Their programs Charles R. Taggart One of the strong entertainments have taken well everywhere and have been wonderfully successful. They of the chautauqua sessicn will be by have been offered regular Chautauqua work.

They are coming home for our Chautauqua. Margaret Hill McCarter. One of the famous women of Kan Charles R. Taggart. He comes to us to help make life more like we were glad to be here.

His mission is to entertain and make heavy hearts lighter. His will be the sort of entertainment that will please everybody, old and young, the well educated and the common people. He is not a lecturer, neither is he a preacher. He gives songs, recitations, piano selections, character sketches, etc. sag.

Sylvester A. Long. ident of the Great State of Kansas. She wilL be with us three days and will give her "Summer Mornings With the Poets," as follows: July 29 Tennyson. July 30 Lowell.

July 31 Kipling. August 1 Van Dyke. Mr. Long will be here with ome of his "Life Problem" lectures. The lecture he will deliver for us wil be "Hungry People." It is a good one and will be given with enthusiasm and vim.

If you are hungry for some thing good come and hear Mr. Long and be satisfied. sf hit? Dr. James Hedley The last afternoon, lecture will be Chicago Glee Club The Chicago Glee Club as a male quartet are unsurpassed. The same personnel has made up the club for eleven successive seasons, and they have learned to know what pleases the public.

They play the tromboines, and are the original trombone quartet on the chautauqua platform. They also carry a reader of. rare ability, by Di James Hedley, and we 'Vel that we are fortunate in securing him for that particular place on the program. He has been in Sterling before and has also been in other nearby towns and is quite well known to the, people of this community. We cannot announce his subject, but it will be one of sunshine.
