Miss Maude Glasco came home last Saturday from a very successful series of recitals at different towns in southern Kansas'. Many of the towns have sent her a request for a return date later on. Frank Rader and wife, of Fredonia, came up Monday in their new Overland, returning the same day. While here Mr. Rader called and planked down a dollar for a year's subscription to the old home paper.

A great deal of excitement has "been stirred up and interest revived in the oi! business by the strike of oil at the Lewis well, north of Blodgett. it gives promise of something rich in the oil line. It was visited Sunday by people irom all the surrounding Mrs. M. T.
