27 Mich. Dear am a cripple; was bornd a cripple. The truble is weakness in knees thyes. 1 have but very littlo use of my limbs, accept when they arc perfectly straight; then lean walk very well bv the use of a cane. But in winter, I can ncarcely get out in the open air at nil.

The cold air seems to take all the strength from my limbs, and of course I cmnot perform manual labour. This is why I am trying to publish these little papers. I thought I could pass. away the lonely hours, and improve my education, (as I am not able to attend school,) also, I thought perhaps in time, it might be the means of my support. I started one year ago with oat a cent, and without the least knowledge whatever of the business I about to undertake.

And with the kind assistance of the National Tribune, tl The Burlingame News and other friends, I have one handinking press 10 inches inside of chase, 16 pounds of type, besides INVALID CHAIR FUND. 4 The lollowing list of names are of those subscribing for little Giace's invalid vyheel chair, since last Manic K.
