The only thing to be regretted is that they did not occur often enough even on this day.

We were treated to some of the finest grapes brought to Hamilton this season, by Mescers Peoples and Anderson. They were grown by Mr. Ulich, and the gift bestowed by one of Hamilton's most charming young ladies made it a very acceptable one. Dr. Henry F.

Briden of near Eureka, to be de livered this week. Grant is much pleased to think that now he will not have to pump water for them. Mr. Sypher thinks ho can walk up and down a row of corn as fast as any one. He is cutting fifty and more shocks a day.

Mr. Frank Thrall expects to go west this week to sea after his cattle. Ira Mack is again in this neighbor hood staying with Duke Colter. The Base Ball loe Cream Supper Saturday night was a grand success, The attendance of pretty girls and lively young men was good. All seemed to baye an enjoyable time.

The proceeds of about $6,00 is for the henefit of the Bear Town Base Ball Club. Miss Edith Conwoll ia visiting with Miss Reising this week. Miss Sara Edwards is putting up grapes for future use. Mrs. Freeman and daughter are visiting at R.

A. Freeman's this week. The writer should b3 very careful while his namesake is in this vicinity, Graqt and Ira Whipple went to Kan sas City Sunday morning' on the two o'clock train. Frank Purkable the bicycle record breaker rode from Madison asrainst a strong wind in one hour and forty minutes. That was making good time we think Art Freeman is trying his new high wheel corn cutter this week.

Mr. Billips and his wife are Btaying at Mr. Nuckols. His wife will do the cooking for them during the buisy season. Guss, it looks "funny" that your eoat took leers and walked off while you were dancing.

Koochia. HOMER CREEK. We had a little rain last Sunday but need more badly. Mrs. Earl Wyant has returned home after having a spell of fever at her father's.

Mr. J. W. Hale bought cattle on Homer Creek last week. J.

S. Bales shipped cattle from Hamilton last Monday. Gordon Marks have finished a neat job of painting for A. M. Miller on Homer Creek, their ad in the Enterprise seems to bring them work.

Gordon Marks have done some neat paper banging for Mrs. G. W. Holman this week, the boys are sure onto their job. G.

W. Holman says it is a matter of impossibility to advertise property for 6ale in the Enterprise and not sell it at once G. W. says he advertised his cattle in the Enterprise one day and sold them the next. I see some sale bills ou from the Enterprise job department that speaks well for the office's work.

W. 8. ONeil and G. R. nolman have commenced driving their stock to water this week, The people on Homer Creek have commenced cutting their corn, if we have no more rain the corn will all be ready to cut very soon.

Uncle Zir. M. M. Miller expects to start, Monday, for Kansas City, St. Joseph and other points in the east to lay in a stock of fall sroods for his store.

The child of Mrs. French" who is visiting her parents, Mr. and MrB. W. S.

Patterson's north of town was quite sick last week. We are glad to report the little one much better this week. F. G. Thrall, whose notice appears elsewhere in this paper, sold 130 head of good western cows to.

A D. Thompson this week. Mr. Thrall can fill orders for any number of g-ood western cattle of all kinds at reasonable prices and in lots to suit the purchaser. See his notice of cattle for sale in another place.

Parties expecting to buy will do well to Mr. Thrall before buying. The hunting and fishing grounds of Colorado quickly and comfortably reached via Santa Fe Route. Low rates during the season, Write W. J.

A meeting was cslled Tuesday evening for the purpose of effecting an organization of a cornet band in tiara-ikon. There will be another meeting at the depot tomorrow afternoon at 2 Ciiarles Redding who will teach the school at district 59 was in Hamilton the first of the week. The people of dislr.ct 59 are to be congratulated on getting a teacher such as Mr. Redding.
