Mrs. 0. E. Ilagerman returned last Saturday from her western trip where she has been the past two months for her health. She has gained 19 pounds since leaving here and her general health is much improved.

A union meeting of the Oakland churches was held last Sunday night at the Methodist church and was largely attended. Elder Foltz, of the Christian church, preached the sermon which was enjoy td by all. W. II Queen loaded and shipped his household goods and stock, Tuesday, for his new home in Greenwood county. Oakland people are sorry to lose this family, and all unite with 'the Blade in wishing them success in their new home.

Dave Reaugh brought a few, apples up with him from Muskogee last week that were simply beauties. One of the smallest ones measured twelve inches in circumference and four and one-half inches in diameter. Mr. Reaugh says the above measurements are, if anything, a little below the average size of the Ben Davis, apples that are grown in that country.
