W. Dorr and Hev. E. Woodward. Such conventions aro inspiring to young Christians.

Twcnty-ono Epworthlans came over from Sterling on Sunday af ternoon, August 20, on a visit to our homo Leag'uo. Tho lecture room was crowded with young pco pie, and tho Holy Spirit worked upon all hearts. Tho following list comprises tho visiting Leaguers: Carrio Johnston, Ora Stubbs, Su-slo O'Harc, Mala Helm, Frank Stubbs, Charles Snyder, Bert Tucker, Ida Lansing, Gcorgo E. Mitch ell, Charles E. Amend, Frances Snyder, Minnio Lloyd, Ollio De-Ford, Mary Grcenleo, Eva Stout, Edward Bennett, Maggio Mitchell, Clara Mann, Ncttlo Eaton, Edith Lloyd, Clarenco Tucker.

Tho young peoplo wcro accompanied by Frank A Johnston, tho "Sterling and Lyons" hack man. These youthful Christians have a warm placo In our hearts. Our own young peoplo entertained their visitors with becoming hospitality. Kansas State Fair. His family will remain here until next spring. Rev. J. B. Handy occupied our pulpit on Sunday, August 27, with universal, acceptability to the peo-plo.

Wo appreciate such friendship very much. Many thanks. Elder E. T. Furgeaon has resumed his placo at the Christian church.

His pcoplo aro no doubt elad to have him with them again. Wc will miss them from our own eei vices. Christian fraternity has mado great advancement during tho last decade. Ilov. S.

P. Monroe, our pastor at llaymond, has moved back to Chase. He ill continue to serve tho Aldcn and llaymond churches. Wo aro pleased to havo his lamily with us again. They will bo a valuablo addition to our prayer meeting attendance.

On Sunday morning, September 3, tho following probationers wcro taken into the church in full connection: Mattio Lewis, Ethel Lo-crone, Edna Hopkins, Lcssio-Wil-cox, Nettie Lewis, Lulu Shaw, and Ilcssio Callie. May our Heavenly Father ever keep them faithful. Tha camp meeting at tho Mc-Names grove will begin on Wednesday evening, September 20, and will coutlnuo ten days. Our church has accepted an Invitation to participate in the wrvlcea. Let uo Jtfgln at once to prepare our hearts for the Divine indwelling.

Tho Women Christian Temperance Union convened at tho Methodist parsonage on Wednesday, August 00, and elected the following officer fur the ensuing year: President, Mrs. Rev. I). Dunham; vice president, Mm. Rev.
