We Will the voters cast their ballots in Elk County this fall to return Campbell to Washington to decorate the Pink Tea parties, or will they become awakened to their own in terests and Bend Mr.

Bertch to Congress to battle against the secret caucus and locked committee rooms, wage war against the powerful bi-partisan dragon? Look to your own interests, dear voters In presenting the name of A. II. Spray for township treasurer, the Progressive party only asks that the voters look into the merits of ths man, and the claim for recognition. Mr. Spray is one of the solidest of the farmers in Elk Coun ty, who will appreciate the trust put in him, and in return will give the people an honest, faithful administration of the sffairs of his office, irrespective of cliqjo or clan.

And as has been said before. Mr. Spray lives in a neighborhood of the township which has never been re ognized on the tow-ship board. It is a very fortunate opportunity for the people of Ek Falls town ship to elect as their trustee Mr. S.

E. Crawford, a gentleman who has had years of experience in the clerical duties of a railroad office where the greatset of efficiency ia demanded. Aside from this particular qualification, Mr. Crawford has been a farmer, stockdealer and businss man in this immmedite vicinity, thus giving him an especial insight into the valuations of MBvery description. The Progress ive party takes great pride in presenting the name of S.

E. Crawford for trustee of Elk Falls township. Statement from Mr. Finley. Elk Falls, 10-22-1914.

To those who are not acquainted with me I wish to say, I have a couple of small ranches near Elk rails fairly well stocked. I am engaged In raising wheat, corn and aflalfa and growing, feeding and shipping cattle and hogs. I think it an honorable, pleasant and generally a fairly profitable calling. In fact I am in love with my work and believe anyone should with any duties invetved if they wish to handle them the easiest and best. I believe a general application of the Golden rule on the part of both capital and labor and the pub lie and large corporations would eliminate most of the friction and difficulties and blend the conditions of selfishness, neglect and injury into peace, prosperity and good will and very much lighten the law re quirement, and tttis same rule is most practicable in smaller affairs too.

I believe Kansas the grandest state of the union all things consid ered, and her people above the standard of the U. S. in intelli gence, rightousnesa, 'progress and wealth. I feel there is a large field for thought and labor to the legislator who does his whole duty. If the people of Elk county see fit to elect me to the legislature 1 will endeavor to see that they have no regrets for so doing and will always work for the best interests of Elk County and State of Kansas.
